Dear readers,

I wanted to let you know that the “ads by Google” that may appear  below individual blog posts are generated by WordPress, not placed there by me.   One of the reason that I selected WordPress as my blog software was because ads do not appear on the home page, so I was surprised to see them when  going to individual posts, by clicking on titles. I wrote to WordPress about it, and this was their response:

To support the service (and keep free features free), 
we do sometimes run advertisements.
We’ve tested a lot of different ad providers and 
currently use Google AdSense and Skimlinks.
We try hard to make the ads discreet and effective 
and only run them in limited places.
If you would like to completely eliminate ads from appearing on your blog, 
we offer the No-Ads Upgrade.....

So I’ll have to see about paying  extra for the ads-free service version . In the meantime, please accept  my apologies for this, and please I understand that any ads that do appear are not put there or endorsed by me.
